Heart existing somewhere between the Midwest, Brazil, and places I've never been. Liker of art, language, beats, people, books, cynicism, politics, fashion and food. Currently: listening with my hands. I make stuff: LOKIArt.com

I recently came back from a powerful trip to South Africa- Johannesburg and Cape Town. After I returned I found it harder and harder to really speak and share “stories” about the trip. I’ve been reluctant to throw images on to any public web spaces. I’ve become so selfish and possessive of the memories that were created. The more I tried to fit the experience into a one or two sentence response to the frustratingly simple question “how was it?”, the less the experience became mine. The more watered down my memories got.
Change is funny like that. The biggest feelings can never find the right words.
